[Dizzy Banko Deandre Sumpter Music Artist Producer] Today we had the pleasure of speaking to a Grammy Nominated and six-time platinum Music Artist and Producer Deandre “Dizzy Banko” Sumpter. Hailing from the Bronx, New York; Dizzy Banko enlightened us on not only what and who inspired him to become a Music Artist and Producer, but why these two reasons currently play a vital role in what he does today whether he's on the mic, gracing the stage, or working behind the scenes as a Producer. Beyond that, we touched on how he sees the music landscape today and where he believes it’s going. Using performers such as Cardi B as an example, Dizzy Banko made it a priority to point out that female Music Artists don’t have to “show skin” to be heard.
This part of the conversation came up as he revealed that he is a “Girl Dad” as he referred to how his eyes and perception changed since becoming a father. We also talked about how the music landscape has changed over the years and whether it has changed for the better or the worse.
