ERITREA ALLOWS AMERICAN MILITARY TO OPERATE IN COUNTRY DESPITE WARNINGS FROM HOUTHIS

[ERITREA AMERICAN MILITARY HOUTHIS] In what many Geopolitical and War Analysts are already calling a “failed effort”, the Trump Administration has decided to reverse the Biden’s Administrations sanctions on the West African country of Eritrea which have been in effect since 20021.The reason why for application of sanctions on Eritrea was due to the accusations that the Eritrean Military committed war crimes against the people of Ethiopia's Tigray region. The war between the Eritrean Military and Tigray Rebels killed an estimated 600,000 people and displaced nearly hundreds of thousands more. A truce between the countries was reached in 2022 between Ethiopian Tigray Rebels and then Eritrean President Addis Abaca. It’s widely believed that the cited reason for the reversal of Biden-era sanctions is to combat Ansarullah and the Houthis highly aggressive, but firm grip on the Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and Iran's authority over the Strait of Hormuz.
The Trump Administration's reason for seeking to gain a foothold in Eritrea was due to its feeling it was “time to adapt our foreign policy to current realities and collaboratively engage with both countries to advance US interests”. It was also reported that prior to the reversal of sanctions by the Trump Administration, sanctions were to automatically be renewed every year under the Biden Administration's declaration of a "National Emergency”. Eritrean Information Minister Yamane Gebremeskel stated to the Press that “The unilateral sanctions imposed by the Biden Administration five years ago were not warranted by any metrics. In this respect, we welcome the gesture and remedial measures by the Trump Administration.”
All of this comes on the heels of the Trump Administration rejecting several of Saudi Arabia's calls for it to come to its aid in its fight against Ansarullah. By failing to come to the aid of Saudi Arabia it has potentially caused Saudi Arabia to partially collapse. This in conjunction with Ansarullah's rapid advancement in the Red Sea and Iran's ability to successfully project dominance over the Strait of Hormuz, has forced the Trump Administration to recalculate its position and future in West Asia.
What makes Eritrea such an attractive and strategic location for the Americans is that Eritrea's Port of Assab Lie and it's 1,0000km (621mi) southern coast lies near the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. With the reversal of sanctions, it led the Americans to strike a deal with the African country in exchange for America to establish a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in the country which the Americans believe they can utilize to stop Iran and the continued advancement of Ansarullah in the region.

Despite the Americans cutting a backdoor deal with Ansarullah which prohibits the Americans from executing any military strikes on the organization, it appears that from the perspective of the Trump Administration, the only rational thing to do is to renege on the deal. There are several reasons for this, the first being the fact that America is running low on oil itself, followed by the outrage that the rest of the world is expressing over the hyper increased cost of oil and gas, in conjunction with the raging protest over those same oil and gas prices. It should be noted that Ansarullah has issued a stark warning to the Americans that all their military assets in the region will be targeted if they join the war.
The Trump Administration may also see this as an opportunity to conduct strikes on Iran who has not shown one ounce of leniency in the region towards western countries in the region, but nor do they appear to be backing down from the Americans any time soon. Our prediction is that Eritrea will become nothing more than just another missile magnet and bombing target for both Ansarullah and Iran as both entities have declared war on any country that supports the Americans or Collective West in the region.
It is from this prediction that Eritrea itself as a nation will pay the ultimate cost, in the form of lives, displaced people, and the hollowing out or at the very least destruction of whatever infrastructure the country has to date. The question we are asking is has the Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki learned anything from Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, or Yemen for that matter? If America could not successfully defeat Ansarullah, an organization with hardly any hi-tech weapons and failed to protect any of its allies, then how can it possibly protect the country of Eritrea?
We strongly urge the President Isaias Afwerki to reconsider his position when it comes to this matter as his failure not to do so will only cause further deterioration of regional security and even more unnecessary shock to global oil and gas prices.
