[IRAN AMERICA DEMANDS] With America's ongoing war of choice with Iran for a record eight months, Iran has appeared to stand firm on their demands towards the Americans. With both sides proposing ideas on how to bring an end to the war. Iran demands America lift their counterblockade in the region, as well as return all seized Iranian assets along with the unfreezing of funds. Ian is also demanding a permanent ceasefire and is demanding that the Strait of Hormuz remain under their control and that the Americans should lift on sanctions which have been in effect for over 40 years.
Today America presented a counter proposal which included Iran stopping uranium enrichment while ending any attempts to build a nuclear weapon – something Iran has denied. While the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported that Iran has enriched uranium to 60% they have also reported that there are no signs of Iran seeking to construct a nuclear weapon. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called the Trump Administration demands “futile” and has stated to the Press that “Our problem with the United States is that every time we come to the negotiating table, war is immediately imposed upon us.”
He went on to also state that the Americans “They have attacked us three times following talks so far; this demonstrates that they do not seek dialogue. On the contrary, their goal is to bring down the Islamic Republic of Iran. With an enemy that resorts daily to assassination, sanctions, pressure and threats – and breaks its promises – negotiations become futile, and our nation will not accept such an approach.”
With the war continuing to ensue in the Strait of Hormuz, international trade has taken a significant downturn. The effects have rippled throughout the oil, gas, and energy sectors which continue to have an adverse trickledown effect on consumers. with the actions of President Trump being perceived as "unpredictable", it's been perceived by both governments and geopolitical analysts alike that if the Trump Admission fails to reverse its current trajectory, the saturation will continue to widen in West Asia demanding the response of more nations which will lead to permanently changing the geopolitical landscape in the region until its unrecognizable by the international community.
