[Israel Hamas hostages release] In a turn of events, Israel has agreed to release 1,900 Palestinian prisoners in custody, in exchange Hamas has also agreed to release the last of the living prisoners in custody. The exchange of hostages from both sides is due to the ceasefire deal that is set to progress in phases over time. The releasing of hostages from both sides comes just before American President Donald Trump is set to attend the Sharm el- Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt.

The Sharm el- Sheikh Peace Summit will consist of 20 world leaders from the Spain, India, Cyprus, U.K., France, Indonesia, El Salvador, Armenia, Pakistan, Canada, Spain, Germany, Italy, the U.A.E., Oman, Norwegian, Jordan, Japan, Greece, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. It should be noted that both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas were not invited to the Sharm el- Sheikh Peace Summit, it was announced today that Israel would attend. Iran was invited but declined the invitation.

Currently, President Donald Trump is meeting with both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Knesset to discuss the future trajectory of both Israel and Gaza and what role America will play going forward.  According to Egyptian officials, the mission of the Sharm el- Sheikh Peace Summit is to seek ways

“To end the war in the Gaza strip, enhance efforts to bring peace and stability to the middle east, and usher in a new phase of regional security and stability."

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

The fact that both Israel and Hamas were not invited to the Sharm el- Sheikh Peace Summit combined with the fact that Iran declined to be a part of the talk speaks volume to how far any real long lasting peace measures are from both the near and distant future. As the first phase of the ceasefire deal appears to be completed, it’s predicted that Hamas will never surrender its arms as Israel is still presenting itself as threat to not only Palestine, but Israel continues to present itself as threat to all neighboring countries.

It should also be said that even though prisoners are being exchanged on both sides, geopolitical analysts can't help but keep a close eye on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and how the judicial system will deal with him and his actions.
