[ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU TRUMP’S 15-POINT PEACE PLAN] “Israel does not accept the 15-point document.” Those were the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during talks with president trump yesterday centered around a 15-point peace plan that would include the disarmament of Hamas and the total withdrawal of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) from Gaza. This comes after a spokesperson from Hamas stated that the organization would agree to a new disarmament deal under the guidelines proposed by the Trump led Board of Peace. Despite the best efforts from President Trump who has been seeking a way to find an off ramp when it comes to the Israel’s war of genocide on Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu followed up his statement of rejection of President Trumps 15-point peace plan with “Unlike all those who lecture us, we do what needs to be done for Israel’s security, and we can and know how to stand our ground, even against our best friends when necessary”.
The Board of Peace’s 15-point peace plan was made public on July 30 and would have provided Israel two weeks to accept the proposal. According to sources the number one barrier that halts the deal between Israel and Hamas is Israel's lack of thrust towards Hamas. Israeli hardliners were cited that Israel will not accept any peace deal unless Hamas fully disarms. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quoted saying: "The IDF will not make any withdrawal until Hamas disarms. And when I say disarming Hamas, I mean the heavy weapons, the less heavy weapons, all the weapons. And we are talking about real disarmament, not fictitious disarmament.”
Despite this, Hamas went on record stating that "We call upon the mediators, guarantors, and the Peace Council to assume their responsibilities, ensure the commitment of all parties to what has been agreed upon, and prevent any violations or breaches that could disrupt the implementation process or undermine the ceasefire agreement” and that is “affirms its commitment” to the terms and conditions of the Board of Peace's 15-point peace plan.

While Israeli hardliners are taking the position that Hamas acceptance of the 15-point peace plan proposed by the Board of Peace is “fake”, the argument is being made within the international community that there simply no way for Israel to distinguish if Hamas's acceptance of the 15-point peace plan is “fake” or not. At this moment, it’s the optics that are appearing to paint the picture that it’s Israel that is seeking death and destruction in Gaza and elsewhere within the region and it is Hamas who is seeking to put both an end to the conflict and the suffering of Palestinians.
The truth is President Trump not only has enough problems to deal with both internationally and domestically, but there are talks in Washington that he’s grown tired of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his genocidal war antics surrounding Gaza and his war of aggression towards Iran. A largely unnecessary war that sucked America back into yet another losing conflict in West Asia. The question that seems to be on everyone’s mind is “Does President Trump have what it takes to turn his back on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel because of their actions which appear to go against the best interest of America?”
