[LIGA MX LEAGUES CUP TOLUCA MONTERREY] With the final match to see who wins the 2026 Leagues Cup Toluca FC will be facing off against C.F. Monterrey. For many fans this is a bitter rivalry that goes back for years. Tonight, at the Shell Energy Stadium, home of the World Champions Houston Dynamos and women's soccer team Houston Dash, the stadium was packed from wall to wall. Electrified fans of Toluca shook the walls of the stadium when Striker Alexia Vega scored the first goal of the match at the four-minute mark. Despite scoring the first point of the match it didn't seem to deter Monterrey from posing a threat to Toluca on the pitch.

Sealing the fate of tonight’s match between Toluca against Monterrey would be another goal that was scored by Toluca Striker Helinho at the 70’ minute of the match bringing the score to 2-0. For the fans of Toluca, the writing on the wall was clear, Toluca would be the winner of tonight's match. The final key stats of the tonight match reflected Toluca taking a total of five shots, with three shots on target. Monterrey, taking 13 shots with only two of those shots landing on target.
