[Donald Trump Davos World Economic Forum] Yesterday President Donald Trump spoke at the World Economic forum in Davos, Switzerland. While president Trump held the perspective that America is not only the best country in the world, with the uncanny ability to be the world police; through the applause of the crowd there was a significant amount of attendees that didn’t share his same perspective on the state of America and the notion that America should be the world's police. Throughout the duration of addressing the World Economic Forum President Trump talked about why Greenland is important to both American national and international security. It should be noted that President Trump embarked on several “Trump like tangents” while delivering his speech.
In respect to Greenland, he announced that he doesn’t wish to utilize force to annex Greenland as he referred to Greenland as “a piece of ice”. After concluding his address, he presented his version of “framework” for a future deal which would require a “right, title, and ownership" to build a “Golden Dome” which would be used to defend American interest and assets in the region. President Trump also talked about how he would end the war between Ukraine and Russia, followed by bragging on how well the American military did in what many are calling the “kidnapping” of President Nicolas Maduro. President Trump also spoke about his creation of what he calls the “Board of Peace” in which Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged to give billions in Russian frozen assets to help make it possible.
President Trump openly criticized the push for renewable energy by referring to it as the “Green New Scam” and called it the “greatest hoax in history”. In replacing the push for renewable energy, President Trump pitched the idea of America spearheading a “nuclear renaissance”. The effectiveness of his Reciprocal tariffs, also known as “Trump Tariff’s," were also talked about and defended how his weaponization of the application of tariffs have increased manufacturing within America. Regarding tariffs, President Trump threatened French President Emmanuel Macron because of France having cheaper prescription drugs prices due to American subsidies and urged him to double or quadruple the price of prescription drugs in France to even the prices. President Trump threatened President Macron with both 25% tariffs on all exported goods to America as well as a 100% tariff on all French wines and champignons.
President Trump also openly criticized NATO by saying that America receives “nothing” for providing defense for NATO allies and he also made fun of Europe by calling it “unrecognizable” because of its perceived relaxed immigration policies through the eyes of President Trump and his administration. President Trump also went as far as to call NATO allies "ungrateful". President Trump also openly criticized the policies of his predecessor former American President Joe Biden. He also addresses his push to ban major corporations from buying homes in America. President Trump also touched on Crypto Currency, interest rates, and the hiring of a new Federal Reserve Chairman.
