PROTESTERS GATHER AT UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON OVER ABBOT’S PLAN TO REDRAW CONGRESSIONAL MAP

[protesters University of Houston] Over the weekend, several hundred Houston residents gathered in protest at the University of Houston in an effort to demonstrate their outrage of Texas Governor Greg Abbot's (R) plan to change what they are calling “gerrymandering” the redrawing of the current Congressional District lines. With the proposed redrawing of the Congressional Lines of District 18, many Houston residents feel that their voices in the voting process will be ignored by the Abbott Administration.
A rally was staged one hour by the 50501 Organization before the start of the official hearing which was set to last 5 hours and was to include an estimated 500 frustrated Houston residents that seemed to unleash their anger during the official hearing on the matter. The official hearing featured promote politicians such as:
