[U.K. Germany signs military Kensington Treaty] The United Kingdom and Germany have signed a bilateral military agreement names the “Kensington Treaty”, a first since World War 2, which provides military support for either country should one be attacked. The Kensington Treaty was signed Thursday and includes clauses within the Kensington Treaty that allows for the joint military training between the two countries. It also includes the acceptance of passport "E-Gates" as well as school exchange visit between the two countries. another added benefit due to the signing of the Kensington Treaty is that both countries will establish a direct train route between the two countries.
German Chancellor Merz and UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Rodney Starmer both hailed the signing of the Kensington Treaty as a success between the two nations, despite differences the day prior between Germany and the European Commission when it came to the expansion of the €1.5 trillion budget to €2 trillion in what Chancellor Merz called "unacceptable".
These two occurrences are relevant because the increases in German taxes would place a damper on any joint military operations between Germany and the United Kingdom in terms of war games and training as well as the possible deployment of both German and British troops. Additionally, the expansion of the €2 trillion budget also diminishes the campaign promise of Chancellor Merz which included lowering taxes for the German population. While it's true that Germany along with the UK have not only a fear of Russian expansion into western Europe which many geopolitical analysts don’t see happening because there are no indications that Russia is seeking to expand its presence into any western European country, there also lies the fact that both Germany and the U.K. is seeking to ship weapons to Ukraine in support.
OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
There’s a lot to unpack when it comes to the increase in taxes within the western European bloc, how and if Germany can find a way to increase the strength and size of it’s military, and why German Chancellor Merz and the heads of the E.U. are pushing so strongly to not only send weapons to but support Ukraine as there is no way that Ukraine can win a war of its own making against Russia. A seriously complex situation like this demands the most simplistic answers in order to make sense of it.
In terms of addressing the signing of the Kensington Treaty, it can be said that it’s a waste of time as Russia has never declared any intention to invade any western European country. However, with western European countries like Germany and the United Kingdom purposely poking and provoking Russia to the point in which Russia may have to respond, then and only the can anyone see the value in the Kensington Treaty, even if the signing of the treaty was manipulated due to the combined prevocational actions of Germany and the U.K. what we mean by this is the fear and war mongering attitude towards Russia from Chancellor Merz and U.K. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Looking at the situation regarding the increase in taxes to off-set things such as the European Competitive Fund (€410 billion), national and regional partnership (€865 billion), repayment of COVID-ear debt (€49 billion) along with other spending ventures occurred by countries within the E.U. Germany itself will find it hard to not only bolster the size of its military, but both Germany and the U.K. will find it even more difficult to finance the deployment of their militaries should their provocations toward Russia result in Russia having to go on a counter offensive to reenforce the Minsk Agreement which not only states that NATO will not advance one inch towards Russia, but also that Ukraine will never be allowed to join NATO and remain as a buffer zone between NATO and Russia. In short, what we are saying here is that the U.K. simply doesn’t have the military juice nor does Germany have the military strength to engage Russia in a hot war should the actions of the U.K. and Germany provoke one.
Next there is the issue of both Germany and the U.K. providing long range missile systems with the ability to strike 2,000 kilometers away from the point of origin deep into Russia. Should Germany and the U.K. embark on such ridiculous measures, it would make them both culpable and legitimate military targets to Russia and therefore open themselves up to Russia bombing them. Currently at the moment neither the U.K. nor Russia have anything in their arsenal to counter Russian Oreshnik hypersonic missiles. This is compounded by the fact that all three entities U.K., Germany, and Russia are nuclear powers. The results of the provocation and escalation created by both the U.K. and Germany are unfathomable.
Russia has already warned western European nations not to embark down the path they are attempting to walk down, the question is: “Will Germany, Poland, and the U.K. listen?
