[Ukraine Belarus school bus attack] Just when the Ukraine-Russia war could get any deadlier, the Ukrainian military executed a drone strike on a Belarussian school bus that was transporting children within the borders of Belarus. While the Ukrainian military dismissed the drone strike as not of their doing, Belarusian officials believe otherwise. The Ukrainian drone strike on the school bus killed the soccer team's head coach and severely injured six children that were on board. The actions of the Ukrainian military towards Belarusian civilians come at a time when Ukraine is losing its war against Russia. Belarussian president Alexander Lukashenko verbally responded that not only will Ukraine “pay dearly for that”, but he also declared that Belarus has no interest in engaging in war with any country. President Alexander Lukashenko described Ukraine's latest unprovoked act of aggression to Belarus as a “monstrous crime” and as an “inhumane act of terrorism that can have no justification.”

Russia describes Ukraine's recent actions as “Terrorism”. While Belarus has remained neutral since the start of the Russian special military operation now turned into a hot war, it appears that Ukraine may have forced the hands of the Belarussian government to enter the war as the actions of Ukraine has now proven to be a threat against the civilian population in Belarus. The defunct leader of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has recently demanded that President Alexander Lukashenko take down communication stations along the southern border of Belarus. Threatening to make good on his demands, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he would give President Lukashenko one week to comply with his demands or be subjected to the Ukrainian military executing strikes on Belarussian oil and gas refineries. If acted upon by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, actions such as this will be considered a war crime under international law as international law deems it illegal to strike civilian infrastructure during a time of war.

The threat of striking Belarussian oil and gas refineries by Volodymyr Zelenskyy comes because he is taking the position that Belarus is one of the main suppliers of Russian oil and gas products.

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

We take the position that the last thing that Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to do is start a double fronted war with Belarus while fighting Russia. The reason for  this is because with Ukraine suffering an “easing loss” when it comes to its war with Russia, Belarus despite having a smaller military has the potential to drastically cause “aggravated military damages” to Ukraine while working jointly with Russia to create a catastrophic accelerated loss which could render Ukraine to nothing more than a parking lot. While Russia demonstrates restraint, Belarus may not.

It should be noted that although Belarus has fought a modern war, it should be nothing for Russia and other allies to aid them in modern war fighting and doctrine – if they haven’t done so already.
