[US Iran Israeli sabotage peace talks] With the Trump Administration meeting in Geneva, Switzerland today, it appears that the most anticipated peace talks between the Americans and Iran have come not only to a standstill, but it appears as if talks between the two nations have failed. While the Americans want Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Iran wants both the Americans and Israelis to stop their joint war of choice and aggression on all fronts; this includes Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah. One of the biggest reasons why today talks between the two nations failed were due to President Trump threatening Iran on his social media platform “Truth Social” by making the following statement:
“We'll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!” he rounded out the threat by referring to Hezbollah as “highly paid Proxies in Lebanon”.
He also stated that if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz that he will militarily “blow the shit out of them.” Continuing to lash out at Iran, President Trump went on to state: “You close it and you won’t have a country.” Referring to the 80 plus Iranian negotiators that were in Switzerland for peace talks, President Trump threatened them by saying: “You won’t even make it back to your fucking country.”
All of this occurred despite the American agreeing to and effectively surrendering to Iran by digitally signing a memorandum of understanding earlier this week. Despite signing the memorandum of understanding with Iran, President Trump stated today that the memorandum of understanding was nothing but “just an option, I can do whatever I want after that option.”
Iran rebutted by stating to the press:
“Any form of threat is considered a serious violation of the agreement. The first mandate of the negotiating delegation in Switzerland is to end the aggression in Lebanon. The Iranian delegation has expressed its protest to the American side and is now reviewing appropriate responses to Donald Trump’s recent verbal threats.”
Another sensitive topic of discussion between the two countries were their differing perspectives on Iran enriching uranium. While this has been chalked up to nothing more than a conspiracy theory by the Israelis from the position of geopolitical and war analyst within the international community, it appears that America has brought into the idea that Iran has a stockpile of nuclear weapons in which Israel toted the notion that Iran will deploy against them and other west Asian neighbors. Currently the claim of stopping Iran from producing and gaining access to nuclear weapons has been going on for decades with no proof that Iran has any nuclear weapons despite a fatwa being put into place by the late assassinated 86-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) failing to find any evidence to support Israel's claims.
According to the memorandum of understanding all fighting must end on all fronts which also includes Lebanon. However, Israel, although technically not a part of the memorandum of understanding, executed aerial strikes that killed an estimated 99 Lebanese citizens between Friday and Saturday in yet another failed attempt to rid the world of Hezbollah. Hezbollah in an act of self-defense executed a counter offensive and killed four Israeli soldiers by launching a combined 50 rockets and missiles into southern Lebanon.
OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
It appears that not only don't the Americans want any kind of peace talks to take place, but Israel is also playing their part in ensuring that any kinds of peace talks are sabotaged before the ink hits the paper. It is true that President Trump did sign the memorandum of understanding without informing Israel, but it is also true that he doesn’t have too. The mere fact that President Trump is treating the memorandum of understanding as nothing more than a “fugazi” on paper by stating that the memorandum of understanding is “just an option, I can do whatever I want after that option”. His actions only confirm what the government of Iran and every other government on the face of the earth knows to be true about the American government: that the American government cannot be trusted.
It is also our position that Iran has already put countermeasures in place to deal with the Americans and Israel should America renege on the memorandum of understanding. For Iran it wasn’t a matter of if the Americans were going to renege and if Israel was going to attack during the peace talks, but when. While it is unfortunate that Iran must close the Strait of Hormuz because they will not allow themselves to enter into a deal by the force of a gun, it is a necessary evil that must be utilized as a weapon against Israeli acts of aggression and American hegemony in the region.
Our recommendation is to close the Strait of Hormuz permanently and execute strikes on the Americans and destroy Israel. Team up with Türkiye if you need to but get it done quickly because the Americans have only been using this pause in the war to rearm and shift the momentum in their favor. The time for talking and negotiations is over; Iran should do what it knows needs to be done because there is something money and economic inputs and outputs can’t simply buy.
