When it comes to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his willingness to end his losing war with Russia by sometime next year by “diplomatic means”, many people are left wondering what will happen to the talking heads in Washington D.C. American President Joe Biden and the military industrial complex has been backing Volodymyr Zelensky for roughly two years to the tune of roughly $175 billion dollars and counting in conjunction with the placing of sanctions on Russia with virtually no success in either stopping Russia from advancing on the front lines of the war or crippling the Russian economy as a whole. So, the question of the day is “Why is Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky seeking to end its war with Russia in 2025 when it could have done so, so many months ago this year?”
Could the answer to that question lie in the fact that Volodymyr Zelensky understands that President-Elect Donald Trump has no plans to continue to artificially prop up Ukraine financially once his administration takes office next year? Or could it be that Volodymyr Zelensky has finally accepted the hard fact that Ukraine will ultimately lose against Russia in the long term? Maybe both answers are correct. It’s a given that Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected the 6-point plan that Brazil and China came up with earlier this year to encourage Ukraine to stop its war efforts against Russia which was centered around the following:
Non-escalation or provocations by either side.
An international peace conference accepted by both Russia and Ukraine, which includes a "fair discussion" of all peace plans.
An increase of humanitarian assistance to "prevent a humanitarian crisis on a larger scale," as well as an exchange of prisoners of war, and no attacks on civilians.
All possible efforts must be made to "prevent nuclear proliferation and avoid nuclear crisis."
Attacks on nuclear power plants and other peaceful nuclear facilities "must be opposed."
Enhanced international cooperation on several issues to "protect the stability of global industrial and supply chains."
Volodymyr Zelensky called this 6-point plan “destructive”. However, many political pundits are pointing towards the fact that even though Volodymyr Zelensky now wishes for the war in the region to end, it is America that seeks to keep fanning the flames of war between Ukraine and Russia in the form of supplying weapons to Ukraine because they monetarily benefit from the war as long as it continues to take place. Despite the adverse motives of the Americans, Russia is actually open to diplomatic talks with Ukraine on finding a solution to end the war between the two of them. Some of the demands that Russia put forth were the following:
The withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
Ukraine's commitment to adopt a non-aligned status with NATO.
Denazification and demilitarization of the country.
The lifting of all Western sanctions.
It's safe to say that the ball is in the hands of Ukraine when it comes to the implantation of a peace plan. However, if Ukraine falters and plays into the hands of America and the Collective West, Russia will continue to administer heavy blows to Ukraine until the Ukrainian leadership yields to the demands of Russia. This is something that America and the Collective West has no control over.
