[Consumer Price Index August 2025] looking at the major categories for the CPI report for August 2025, it appears to average 2.9% for all categories with a growth average of 0.4%. “Food” stood at 3.2%, “Energy” showed the least growth and stood at 0.2%, and “All Items Less Food And Energy” clocked in at 3.1%.
