[Houston Dash Denver Summit] Due to adverse weather conditions, tonight's match between the Houston Dash and Denver Summit FC was pushed back to a kickoff time of 8:40pm. For the first half of the match the Houston Dash appeared to be alive and well on the pitch as the Denver Summit seemed to dominate the match from the start. At the 3oth minute of the match, the Houston Dash took a total of three shots with one of those shots being on target. They also had a total of 84 passes with a pass accuracy of 73%, two key passes, 86 pass attempts and 27 missed passes.

Denver also took two corners, two throw in’s and performed three crosses with two of them being successful on the pitch. They also were called offside one time. The Dash also won 15 duels and performed two saves. The Houston Dash also had seven clearances, 15 tackles, and one foul. It should be noted that the Houston Dash scored their first goal at the 44th minute of the match (Midfielder Margaret Isabel Graham). The final score of tonight's match Denver 4 , Houston Dash 1.

The Denver Summit in contrast scored two goals with one assist. They possessed the ball 56% of the time. They took a total of nine shots with five shots being on target. They had a total of six shots inside the goal box and three shots outside the goal box. Defensively they block three shots from the Houston Dash. Denver Summit had a pass accuracy rate of 86%, 149 pass attempts, 21 missed passes with a total of 143 passes, and 128 completed passes and eight key passes by the 38th minute of the match. They also took five corners and were called for being offsides one time. They won five duels, obtained four clearances and performed one save. Dever also had 12 throw in’s. Despite fans of the Houston Dash stepping out hoping for a win tonight, the second half looked even bleaker for the Houston Dash as the Denver Summit scored another goal towards the bottom of the second half bringing the score 4-1. Looking at the final stats rendered for tonight's match; the Houston Dash possessed the ball 47% of the time with a pass accuracy rate of 78%. They attempted 382 times with 295 passes completed, 87 missed passes and four key passes. The Dash took three corners and was called off seven times. When it came to duels won, the Houston Dash won 28, with 10 tackles with seven of those tackles being successful. Looking at shots taken by the Houston Dash, they had a total of seven, with three shots landing on target.

The dash also ended the match with three shots at goal inside the box and four shots at goal outside the box. Defensively the Houston Dash blocked two shots taken by Denver. The dash also took three corners, executed nine crosses with two crosses being successful. Houston Dash was called for being offside seven times and saved the ball two times. The dash also had 15 clearances, five fouls, 14 throw in’s and obtained two yellow cards. It should be noted that neither team were issued red cards for the entirety of the match. The dash had one penalty kick.

Looking at the Denver Summit FC, they wrapped up tonight's match with four goals being scored and three assists. They possessed the ball 53% of the time with a pass accuracy rate of 83%. They passed the ball a total of 424 times with 76 of those passes being missed. Denver had 348 passes completed for tonight's match with 12 key passes being executed.  Denver had seven shots on target with nine shots striking inside the box and five shots falling outside the box. When it came to tackles, Dever racked up nine successful tackles out of 11 total. They also had five successful crosses out of eight. They blocked four of the Houston Dash’s shots on the pitch. The Denver Summit took eight corners, 21 throw in’s, and were called for being offsides once. Looking at duels won, the Denver Summit fell slightly behind the Houston Dash with 23. Denver had 20 clearances, overtaking the Houston Dash in this statistic by five. Denver also had two ball saves, but committed 11 fouls, but were issued no yellow cards.


Tonight's match up between the Houston Dash and the Denver Summit FC felt lopsided according to some fans with the Houston Dash licking the dirty end of stick. The next Houston Dash match will be on May 15th as they face off against the KC Current. This match will take place at the CPKC stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
