Written by Michael Thervil
[KEN PAXTON TEXAS SENATE JAMES TALARICO] Yesterday Texas Republicans met in unison to support and bolster both praise and votes for their candidate of choice for the Texas Senate who is currently serving in the role of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) at the Safari Texas Ranch. The name of the event was “come and take it tour” which was located at 111627 FM 1464 Richmond Texas, Fort Bend County. Several Republican Candidates also took to the stage to not only show their support for AG Ken Paxton but to also show their support of President Donald Trump and his administration.
With midterm elections just a few weeks away Republican Candidates appear to be doing their best to ensure that they continue to maintain their seat at the table. The race between AG Ken Paxton and challenger James Talarico (D) is very much a close one with James Talarico leading in the polls by a two-point lead, many speculators believe that AG Ken Paxton will ultimately win at the polls. Despite this there are some Republicans that believe that the Trump Administration has made it hard to sway voters to not only venture out to the polls and vote for another Republican but, they also are bracing themselves for the possibility that Republicans could actually lose this Senate seat in the Texas to Democrats due to the miscalculations by the Trump Administration.
Looking at a breakdown from the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs, Paxton garnered 43% of female voters while Talarico garnered 53%, while more males voted for Ken Paxton at a rate of 51% versus female for Talarico 42%. OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
Looking at the historical trend, Democrats used to control the Texas Senate until the 1990s when a shift occurred in favor of the Republicans up until now. Miscalculations over the years since then by the Republicans seem to have somewhat tilted the shift of the power away from the Republican Party into the hands of the Democrats. But despite this we are forecasting that the Republican can and will most likely win this year's Texas Senate race. This is despite AG Ken Paxton showing signs of a slight deficit amongst voters from the data collected from the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs.
We would urge voters that poll numbers are simply an “estimate” that provides somewhat of a map of the behavior of a small pool of voters. Thus, all variables concerning voter behavior can and never will be truly accounted for. This in conjunction with daily unforeseeable current events can and will play a major role in both voter behavior and how voters cast their votes. Again, while the margin between Republicans and Democrats within the Texas Senate have been tightening, Republicans will most likely come out on top this election cycle.
