(Donald Trump Benjamin Netanyahu) Yesterday's meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and American President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residences touched on Iran and its nuclear program and ambitions and the threat of adverse consequences such as bombings if Iran continues to pursue such. President Trump also talked about the need for Hamas and Hezbollah to disarm as he perceives they promised. Both Hamas and Hezbollah have stated that their possible disarmament will be predicated on whether Israel agrees to a permanent ceasefire. President Trump also stated during the roughly 25-minute address that he believes that the Israeli Prime Minister will “do the right thing” when it comes to doing what's best for Israel.
One of the shocking statements made by President Trump for some was when he stated in reference to Hamas:
“they made an agreement that they were going to disarm and you couldn't blame Israel. By the way, we have other countries that will come in and do it. They said, "Let us do it for you if they don't." Countries that were with them, wanted the deal to be made, agreed that they would disarm. And now, if they say they're going to disarm, that's fine. And if they say they're not going to disarm, those same countries will go and wipe them out. They don't even need Israel. You know, we have many countries, 59 countries that are in agreement. This is a real peace in the Middle East and uh Hamas is a small part of it, but it's still a part of it. But we have 59 countries that signed on. big countries, countries that are outside of the uh Middle East, as you know, the Middle East. They want to go in and wipe out Hamas. They don't want Israel. They don't need Israel. They want to do it because it's the right thing to do. Because they were for the deal based on the fact that Hamas pledged, they swore that they were going to disarm. Now, if they're not going to disarm, those same countries will wipe out Hamas.”
Exactly which countries President Trump was referring to are unclear at the moment. When it came to speaking about China, President Trump exclaimed that he wasn't worried about China and the naval drills China has been executing as "they've been doing it for 25-years." according to President Trump. But what many geopolitical analysts point out is the fact that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hardly spoke outside of the fact of proving President Trump with his usual compliments and flattery. It has been said that many world leaders have figured out how to best “manage” President Trump and this by paying him compliments and by abstaining from getting on his bad side.
Despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu barely speaking, President Trump talked about the issues and possible deal that could be reached between Russia and Ukraine and ending the war. Again, President Trump spoke vaguely on the subject matter as the Press lobbed questions at him for the remainder of the address.
