[Donald Trump National Guard] As of late, American President Trump has not only considered but has ordered the drawing up of plans to deploy National Guardsmen into major cities such as Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. In our previous article entitled “PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: A GOD IN WASHINGTON D.C.” we highlighted the fact that Trump could deploy national guard troops in Washington D.C. without approval because Washington D.C. is a District and not a city nor state. The reason for such a controversial move by President Trump was because of his ambition to combat crime. However, state and local lawmakers have been pushing back against President Trump anti-crime agenda. It should be noted that President Trump is seeking to deploy federal law enforcement agencies to augment the deployment of National Guard Troops in American cities.
From cracking down on illegal aliens, to cracking down on crime and narcotics. Many American citizens feel as if President Trump is overstepping his authority by leaps and bounds. On Monday, President Trump signed an Executive Order that authorizes Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to direct “specially trained units that will be equipped to deal with public order issues” and “ensure that each state’s army national guard and air national guard are resources, trained, organized, and available to assist federal, state, and local law enforcement in quelling civil disturbances and ensuring the public safety and order wherever the circumstances necessitate, as appropriate under law”.
Within the Executive Order, Rapid Response Teams are also to be created and trained to tackle urban crime. Close Quarter Combat is brutal and many tacticians are unsure if the U.S. Military will be able to stand toe to toe with Americans that either have the same or better-quality training then that of the U.S. Military. Political leaders throughout America are raising concerns about President Trump violating the Posse Comitatus Act which is a federal law that was enacted in 1878 to prevent a U.S. President from utilizing the military as an instrument of domestic law enforcement. To circumvent this, it was predicted that the Trump Administration would at some time invoke the “Insurrection Act” of 1807. This act can be used by a sitting U.S. President to authorize the U.S. Military and National Guard to suppress insurrection, armed rebellion, and civil disorder. What constitutes civil disorder is currently vague and open to interpretation.
Even with this conflict of interest it is expected that the Trump Administration will fight to get its way on this issue.
OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
For once after a series of bad decisions, President Trump has come up with a good idea. However, like with all good ideas there is a way to implement them and this is where President trump appears to be going wrong. Granted there is a lot of crime going on and infrastructure issues within America; and the National Guard and most of the active-duty military personnel aren’t doing much of anything on a day-to-day basis. So why not deploy them to the streets of America to assist local and state law enforcement to combat crime. But there's an issue.
The vast majority of servicemen to include active duty are not mentally prepared to patrol the neighborhoods of America's densely populated cities. Chicago is a prime example. If we were to compare Chicago to any location it would be Yemen. Granted more people die of homicide in Chicago than Iraq, but many military servicemen have no experience in dealing with people in cities like Chicago. This is relevant because the vast majority of military recruits come from southern rural locations. This means that they most likely will not understand the mindset of someone in Chicago which will lead to social blunders such as fights which will most likely be interpreted as resistance, and outright shoutouts; and let's not forget about people who like to riot just because.
What President Trump is doing is admirable in some aspects but it’s overshadowed by the faults of his own logic.
