[Hamas Israel Trump peace deal] Yesterday, Hamas accepted certain parts of American President Trump's 20-point peace plan which include the releasing of all 48 prisoners in which 20 are considered to still be alive, the creation of a new and independent Palestinian government to be led by an international body. Hamas stated that they were ready to: “hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independents based on Palestinian national consensus and with Arab and Islamic support” as well as consider the possible disarming of their organization as part of the peace-making deal. It should be noted that Israel has yet to abide by President Trump’s 20-point peace plan to stop its further military advancement and missile bombardments into Gaza.

This led many geopolitical pundits to sincerely believe that Hamas has presented itself as engaging in de-escalation measures while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to be looking for ways to circumvent that. It was reported that while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “seeking counsel" within his cabinet, the IDF hasn’t completely stopped its military airstrikes despite President Trump urging Israel to stop its actions.

President Trump stated that a peace deal is close and that it would have rippling effects throughout West Asia in a video curated by his administration. Within the video he stated the following:

“I want to thank the countries that helped me put this together—Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and so many others. So many people fought so hard," Trump said. "This is a big day. We'll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down in concrete. Very importantly, I look forward to having the hostages come home to their parents … I just want to let you know that this is a very special day, maybe unprecedented. … Everybody was unified in wanting this war to end and seeing peace in the Middle East, and we're very close to achieving that. Thank you all and everybody will be treated fairly."

It seems that President Trump turned down the temperature from his previous statement in which he indicated that [paraphrasing] “if Hamas doesn’t accept the deal by Sunday, Hamas would be hunted down and killed”.

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

While there seems to be a peace deal in the works, we hold the position that Israel will find some way to torpedo any notions of peace within the region. We are saying for two reasons with the first that Israel has demonstrated a history of fighting all of its surrounding neighbors and violating each of its neighbors' sovereignty rights with impunity. Secondly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu essentially needs this war or some kind of war to continue so that he doesn’t have to face the surmounting criminal charges that he's currently facing within the Israeli criminal justice system.

As far as Hamas is concerned, they know and have a keen understanding that Israel as a State can never be trusted and that the human rights of the people of Palestine will undoubtedly be violated some time again – specifically in the near future to the date of this article. We predict that Hamas will store and hide its arsenal while at the same time stockpiling as many weapon systems that it can in anticipation of Israel's next attack.

Israel like America has a history of enacting peace treaties one day and pulling out of if not violating those same peace treaties the next day. The only question that’s on the minds of people within the international community is how soon will Israel attack, and will the Americans aid them as they always do when they do? And if so, will Iran, Hezbollah (currently rearming), and Ansarullah (Houthis) come to the aid of the Palestinians?
