[Iran bombs Israel nuclear talks dead] Since a direct hot war between Israel and Iran started last week, both sides have been trading missile bombardments against each other, attacking each other’s critical infrastructure, military assets, and leaving civilians either killed, wounded, and/or displaced. While Israel states that it has a long list of facilities and sites to strike in Iran; Iran in conjunction with Ansuallah have managed to inflict a massive amount of damage and suffering on Israel. Iran's counterattacks have sent millions of Israelis fleeing into bomb shelters, hiding from a multitude of missile attacks that have descended onto Israel in the form of wave attacks.
Yesterday, Iran reported that roughly 138 civilians, mostly women and children have been killed since Israel launched its airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Israel has used a severely outdated report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which had accused Iran of being in violation of nuclear agreements under the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons treaty (NPT) this past Thursday. However, the irony is that the current reports from the IAEA are reporting the opposite, meaning that Iran is and has been in compliance with all signed nuclear treaties and protocols.
Many political analysts and commentators do not consider the IAEA to be an honest broker when it comes to evaluating the nuclear programs of Iran and other countries whom the collective west deems unworthy of acquiring or possessing the ability to enrich uranium. While the Trump Administration has been engaging Iran for weeks in hopes of reaching a nuclear deal, it appears that Israel has been taking every opportunity to torpedo the talks between the two countries. Currently, it has been reported that Iran sees any further talks of reaching a nuclear deal with America as “meaningless”. Many fear that because of Israel's strikes on Iran nuclear facilities and military assets, it will only embolden Iran to seek out ways to construct a nuclear weapon to protect its sovereignty on the world stage.
Sources stated that Israel understands that it cannot stop the Iranian nuclear program, but this has led many people to ask the question: “If Israel understands that it can't stop the Iranian nuclear program, then why take the effort to bomb Iran in the first place?”. For some the answer is simple: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has always wanted to go to war with Iran, and this is the best time to do it because not only does it feed his ego and ambitions, but it keeps him out of jail.” This perspective appears to be a sound one as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does have mounting legal troubles within the Israeli judicial system.
Again the above answer sounds extremely plausible, but the best answer to the question of: “If Israel understands that it can't stop the Iran nuclear program, then why take the effort to bomb Iran in the first place?” lies in the fact that Israel has essentially run out of options as Israel aerial strikes on Iran are seen as nothing more than a Hail Mary play for Israel in an attempt to stay relevant in the changing times the world is transitioning through.
