[Israel Gaza protest journalist] In Israel’s latest attack on journalist who were providing the world with on location press coverage of Israel waging a campaign of genocide on the people of Gaza left 21 people killed and another 6 Palestinian journalist dead as they were performing their official duties near the Nassar Hospital which is the largest located in the southern part of Gaza. While Israel makes the claim that Hamas’s operatives were operating cameras in the hospital that was subject to a double tap missile strike, many journalists around the world are making the argument that Israel is assassinating journalists in an effort to suppress the reporting of the ongoing man-made humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
So far, an estimated 235 journalist have been assassinated by Israel since it’s the start of the war now turned genocide on the Palestinian people on oct 7th. Prior to this, Israel assassinated another set of journalists in Khan Younis. Fellow press agency Al-Jazeera not only publicly condemned Israel's latest actions, but they also stated:
“The blood of our martyred journalists in Gaza has not yet dried before the Israeli occupation forces committed another crime against Al Jazeera cameraman Mohammad Salama, together with three other photojournalists. Despite relentless targeting, Al Jazeera remains resolute in providing live coverage of the Israeli genocide in Gaza for the past 23 months, with occupation authorities barring international media outlets from entering to report on the war”
Many world leaders and members of the press have also condemned the actions of Israel and urge governments all over the world to not only do more to protect journalists, but to hold Israel accountable for the deaths of journalists. But journalists in Gaza are not the only ones under fire. Today, major protests were executed all over Israel as the families of hostages have not been returned back to Israel. Instead of going for the low hanging fruit and blaming Hamas, Israeli citizens are now directly blaming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Cabinet for bother failing to bring the hostage home, but for purposely torpedoing ceasefire talks with Hamas in order to retain power as Prime Minister but circumvent his own legal issues he’s facing in Israel.
It is suspected that out of the 50 suspected hostages that are thought to be in Gaza, only 8 were “rescued” (actually returned by Hamas), and roughly another 20 hostages still considered to be alive, but that hasn't stopped Israeli citizens from staging protests and destructive demonstrations through Israel. From marches, to tire burning, blockades, and rallies, and to the political infighting against Israeli Cabinet members; the government of Israel seems to be reaching a breaking point.
OUT POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
Whether the world believes that Israel suspected or believed that a journalist was operating a Hamas camera or not simply doesn’t justify the deploying of a missile strike to address a petty concern such as this. Therefore, we at VEDA World News under the guise of international law view this as yet another war crime committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.
For our perspective, there is no end in sight when it comes to Israel war of genocide against the people of Gaza and Palestine as a whole. We are able to make this disheartening claim because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been approved to push and annex the whole of Gaza. With millions of Gazans already displaced, the prediction can be made that even more thousands of them will continue to die if not to the genocide but by the man-man starvation now turned famine brought on by Israel.
Our question remains the same as it’s always been: “What is the world outside of Ansarullah (Houthis) going to do about it?”. To date that question has not been answered – and we suspect that it never will.
