[SHEPARD KILLED NEAR SECRET ISREALI MILITARY BASE IN IRAQ] The recent killing of a local 29-year-old Iraqi shepherd by the name of Awad al-Shammari by the Israeli military who accidentally stumbled within range of the covert Israeli airbase in the  Najaf desert in southwestern of Iraq, has sparked outrage amongst many people in Iraq. It has been cited that the reason why Awad al-Shammari was killed was because Israel wanted to keep the location of its airbase secret. Many people within the international community and geopolitical analysts are wondering why the Iraqi government has allowed Israel to construct an airbase in the first place and why Israel was allowed to launch airstrikes against Iran from that location within Iraq. Reports have indicated that the covert Israeli airbase was constructed more than a year prior to Israel executing its aerial strikes on Iran.

But this is not the only secret Israeli military base that has been discovered in the remote deserts of Iraq. Many Iraqi government officials are also expressing outrage and dismay over the fact that they have essentially been “kept in the dark” about the Israeli military operating within the borders of their country. It has been reported that the two clandestine Israeli military bases in Iraq were being used as a temporary Forward Operating Base (FOB) so that Israeli fighter jets could not only refuel but shorter the flight time it took to execute air strikes on Iran. These secret bases were also used as logistical transshipment hubs to deliver medical supplies and act as a secondary means for military operations against Iran. It was reported that the Americans had ensured that radar systems were shut off in order to ensure that Israel could operate undetected. Both Geopolitical and security analysts take the position that this was the same action that was used in Venezuela for the kidnapping of President Maduro by the Americans which sparked international condemnation.

Iraq’s military regional commander General al-Hamdani stated to the Press that he received reports about “unusual military activity" and that the Iraqi military “decided not to approach” or make contact with what they suspected were “Israeli forces”. He also stated that when they attempted to reach out to the Americans for answers, they were unable to extract a response. After learning about the killing of Awad al-Shammari, the Iraqi military made way to the area but they too came under heavy fire from the Israelis which led to the killing of one of their soldiers and the wounding of two others and the bombing of two  of their vehicles. The Iraqi military were forced to retreat from the location in which they attempted to investigate.

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

However unfortunate that both Iraqi civilians and military members were killed by isreal, this only reveals how weak and corrupt the Iraq government is when it comes to defending and securing its national sovereignty on the world stage. Whether or not the Americans neglected to reveal the  fact that Israel was covertly operating an airbase in their country is not the root issue. The root issue is that someone or a group of people within the Iraqi government knew about this and were not held accountable for their treasonous misdeeds. Could it be that Iran was well within its rights to execute a counter-offensive towards Iraq earlier this year?

The answer to that question seems to be a clear yes as evidence suggests that Iran may have also received the same reports of Israel operating and launching attacks from secret bases in Iraq towards them. How could they not when Iraq is a direct neighboring country and the Iranian intelligence services is recognized as one of the leading intelligence services in the world. So should Iran continue to execute retaliatory strikes towards Iraq? The answer is a clear yes as Iraq has allowed both Israel and the Americans to violate it's sovereignty and it has allowed itself to be used by the Collective West as an outlet to export war towards Iran.
