[Trump Asia trade deal] Yesterday the American President Donald Trump boarded Air Force One to travel to Asia to meet with the leaders of several Asian nations to find solutions to the current trade issues between the America and Asia countries. President Trump’s five-day trip will begin the negotiation process that should result in the easing of trade tensions that could make or break this final quarter of the American retail market and the tech sector of the American economy. President Trump’s 5-day trip has sparked some criticism by Americans as they stay stuck in financial limbo while in the midst of a government shutdown.

President Trump is expected to meet with the Association of Southeastern Asian Nations ASEAN on Sunday in Lumpur, Malaysia to possibly broker a ceasefire deal between Cambodia and Thailand, who have been engaging in violent cross border disputes since 1907 which has yielded even larger ramifications since this July. ASEAN, which was established in 1967, serves an economic, security, political, and cultural bloc in the region which consist of Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. Although it's a southeast Asian conglomerate that seeks to unite, foster and build positive and equitable relationships between Asian countries. ASEAN is seen as a formidable bloc against the United States when it comes to the manufacturing of many of the cheaper everyday goods and products Americans use in the region.

President Trump is also set to meet with new leaders South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in Busan, South Korea and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Japan. It was hinted that President Trump would be open to meeting with the Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un. Contrary to that, there were U.S. Officials that stated that President Trump would not be visiting the North Korean Supreme Leader. I

n terms of the possible meeting between Chinese President Xi-Jinping, it's predicted that President Trump will seek to cut deals to secure American exports of rare earth minerals as well as reestablishing the export of soybeans to China from American Farmers. If such a prediction is true, then it has been speculated that China will most likely counter and seek to pressure President Trump to lift all trade sanctions, tariffs and other trade barriers related to the acquisition of high-end computer chips.

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

When it comes to whether President Trump will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, our prediction is that President Xi Jinping will not meet with President Donald Trump directly. If anything, Xi Jinping may choose to meet with President Trump indirectly by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff or even less likely U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The reason for this is because of what this symbolic interaction between the two would mean. President Xi Jinping is currently holding all the cards.

With China having not necessarily a monopolization over rare earths but having a monopolization of the ability to process and refine rare earths; President Trump stands absolutely no chance of placing any kind of successful diplomatic or economic pressures on China to conform to the will of the Trump Administration. If anything, the Trump Administration should consider itself lucky that China didn’t cut them off from rare earths completely from the start of President Trump’s Reciprocal Tariffs.

It should also be noted that if the speculation of President Trump meeting with President Xi Jinping pans out to be true, then it could easily appear that President Trump would be begging China for rare earths; this is something that serves as a hard stop for the Trump Administration. Looking at whether President Trump’s 5-day tour of ASEAN affiliated countries will yield any benefits, that remains to be up in the air at the moment. The reason for this is because of President Xi Jinping's Asian tour from earlier this year. During President Xi Jinping's tour, he urged various Asian countries for the exception of the Philippines to ban together in solidarity as both a shield and a solution to counter America's diplomatic, trade, and economic bullying practices.

Our position is that nothing of significance will come from president trumps 5-day tour of ASEAN affiliated nations.
