[U.S. Military kill children Iran] It was reported by Iranian officials that the American military executed airstrikes near Shahid Beqaei Specialized Hospital, which resulted in the immediate evacuation of roughly 211 children that were receiving treatment for cancer and various other life-threatening diseases. Both the government and people of Iran along with outspoken leaders within the international community demanded that the United Nations human rights commission and international human rights organization investigate and take legal action against the Americans for such actions on and near civilian infrastructure.

Under both the Geneva convention and in the International Criminal Count (ICC), the deliberate attack on civilian infrastructure is considered to be a war crime. So far, according to Iranian officials, at least 11 hospitals have had to cease operations because of America’s heavy bombardment on Iran with what some are claiming “without due regard to human life”. While the Iranian government is calling for international legal action against the Americans, the Trump Administration has remained silent on the issue. This wouldn’t be the first time the American military has executed military airstrikes on a civilian population in Iran.

The date would be February 28^th, of this year when the American military executed an airstrike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School located in the southern Minab Hormozgan province in Iran. This American military strike left 156 civilians killed. Out of the 156 killed, 120 were schoolgirls who were killed due to the American military executing what is known as “Double Tap” strikes. Strikes such as these are also considered war crimes under both the Geneva convention and the international criminal court. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei stated in response to America's latest aerial attack that this was a “cowardly war crime” that “caused severe suffering and anxiety among hospitalized children”.
