CONGRESSMAN CHRISTIAN MENEFEE & DEXTER MCCOY SPEAK AT COMMUNITY BREAKFAST

[Christian Menefee Dexter McCoy] In a small quaint restaurant called Mikki’s Café located at 10500 W. Belfort Houston, Texas just outside of memorial city, congressman Christian Menefee (D), former Harris County Attorney, who is currently now in a runoff to be re-elected for the Texas 18th Congressional District against Congressman Al Green (D) spoke at breakfast to some of his core supporters. Congressman Christian Menefee touched on the Trump Administration and the push for the controversial “gerrymandering” or the early redrawing of Texas Congressional Lines which he and his supporters perceive will adversely affect the Black American community within Texas and in other states. He also touched on how much the Trump Administration joint war of aggression and choice with Israel on Iran is economically cost each American household. Another topic that congressman Christian Menefee touched on was how important it was for people to “get off the couch” and head to the voting polls. Texas, like every state in America, from the local to the federal level, has been experiencing low voter turnout over the last several voting cycles.
Political hopeful Dexter McCoy (D), who is currently campaigning for the position of being the next fort bend county commissioner precinct 4 also spoke at today's event. Dexter McCoy shared a little bit about his background and why he believes he is the best political candidate to be the next Fort Bend County Commissioner. Dexter McCoy spoke sharply on the need for politicians to go back to working for the people in which they serve. He also raised the point that the motivation for him campaigning to be the next Fort Been County Commissioner is because of his strong desire to not only fix many of the infrastructure issues within fort been county, but to raise the level of socio-economic opportunities for the residents of Fort Bend County.
