CANADIAN PREMIER DOUG FORD TO CUT AMERICA OFF FROM CANADA’S ELECTRICITY IF TRUMP CONTINUES WITH 50% TARIFFS

[PREMIER DOUG FORD ELECTRICITY CANADA TRUMP TARIFFS] While American President Donald Trump resorted to calling Canadian officials “clowns” and demanding that they “fall in line”, Ontario Premier Doug Ford called for Canada to cut both critical minerals and electricity supplies to the United States in retaliation. The latest threats to American mineral and electrical security draw stark anger from President Trump. All of this was in repose to failed economic trade talks between Canada and the Americans leading presents trump to invoke 50% tariffs on all Canadian cars, trucks, steel, and auto parts which would take effect on January 2027. This round of trade tariffs will cost Canada $20 billion in profits.

Ontario Doug Ford also stated to the Press that “Everything’s on the table. I’ll do whatever it takes”, he followed up his statement by pointing out the fact that “We power 1.5 million homes and businesses, he better have a pack of batteries.” He also threatened to possibly stop all exports to the Americans as a whole, a move that Geopolitical and Economic Analysts say would be a devastating blow to the American economy and energy security for all American states that lie on the American-Canadian border. President Trump took to his social media platform truth social and fired back stating that America is “far bigger, richer, and stronger” and that Canada “couldn’t survive” without America. Premier Doug Ford wasted no time challenging President Trump during a Canadian Press conference by stating “I have a lot of real estate on my ass, so he has a lot of room to kiss my ass.”

The latest threat to cut Canadian energy off from the northern American states is considered by many to be a severe threat that should be taken seriously because Canada currently is the largest supply of energy to America in its northern hemisphere supplying more than 24.5 terawatts of power last year. This becomes even more serious as it is a well-known fact that American heavily relies on Canadian electrical power during peak times of demand and use.
