[pornographyUkraine police bribes] Several Ukrainian officials and law enforcement officers have been arrested and detained for accepting bribes from various pornography companies so that they could avoid detection from Ukrainian law enforcement while operating in Ukraine. Under Ukrainian national law, the creation and distribution of pornography is illegal. It was reported that the law enforcement officers that were involved were accepting monthly bribes in excess of $25,000. Among those arrested and detained were a Police Chief in Ivan-Frankovsk Oblast and several deputies that fell under his command were also arrested and detained. Other regions in Ukraine were also targeted were Ternopil, and the Zhytomyr.

Despite pornography being illegal in Ukraine, it continues to significantly grow as a black-market industry. Ukrainian law enforcement seized the assets of several producers and distributors of porn in Ukraine. While it is unknown how long this corruption scandal has been allowed to happen is currently unknown, there is a growing segment of people in Ukraine who highly suspect that it's been going on for quite some time. While the legalization of porn production and distribution has been debated in Ukraine by politicians, sex workers, and consumers alike. It predicted that their request to make pornography legal in Ukraine will continue to fall on deaf ear for the foreseeable future.

This prediction comes even though Ukrainian lawmakers have weighed the idea of taxing Onlyfans adult content creators as an alternative way to finance its losing war on Russia. We previously highlighted how the pornography industry has played a significant part in providing socio-economic stability for many people including the government of Ukraine in an article entitled: “UKRAINE SEEKS TO TAX ONLYFANS PORNOGRAPHERS TO FUND WAR AGAINST RUSSIA” despite pornography being illegal in Ukraine.
