[CERAWeek energy technology geopolitics] From touching on topics that deal with India's energy needs and infrastructure, to the European gas issue, to how to scale hydrogen use to boost it’s profitability, to tuning into the U.S. energy policy reports, there was a lot to take in from yesterday’s CERAWeek 2026 experience. Also on yesterday's agenda was transportation and logistics and what experts predict will become of that sector and of course artificial intelligence and how the future of it’s digital infrastructure will be like. Finance and emissions sectors were also explored. But despite all of this and so much more, the one item on everyone's agenda was the part of the day in which women in energy took to the center stage.

The women in energy panel were led by Beth Evans who is the head of Regional Insights Upstream Solutions which is a subsidiary of at S&P Global. She was joined by Panelist Arni Anwarrudin (General Manager at PETRONAS), Michele Harradence (Executive Vice President at Enbridge), Hema Prapoo (Worldwide Energy Leader at Microsoft), Mary Street (Senior Vice President of Communications and External Affairs at BP) all took to the stage to discuss not only they’ve been able to navigate throughout their careers but to inform those in attendance of how much women have impacted their respective careers in positions of leadership on the global stage.

Throughout the day In the Agora, various mini talks were held that addressed highly complicated subjects such as quantum computing, renewable CO2, the benefits of hydrogen, the impact of powering factories spearheaded by AI, risk associated with supply chains, the global impact of climate change, and new edition to CERAWeek 2026, POLITICO, which featured FERC Commissioner Judy Chang. As well as the past two previous days, attendees engaged in networking, various healthy side discussions and debates, and engaged in business deals. Hyperscalers such as Microsoft and Amazon were also in attendance to display their new and upcoming future products and services to the public. In some cases, attendees were able to engage in the playing with the beta testing of products and services that were in their infancy stages.

It should be noted that like the past two previous days, day three of CERAWeek 2026 wouldn’t be complete without geopolitics playing a vital role in the grand scheme of things. Leadership dialogues that feature the likes of the U.S. Secretary of the Interior and Chairman of the National Energy Dominance Council along with Anil Agarwal (Founder and Chairman of Cairn Oil and Gas) and Gauri Jauhar (executive director of S&P Global’s Energy Transition and Cleantech Global Consulting firm) were also in the spotlight during yesterday’s conference.
