[suicide car bombing Red Fort India] Last night a suicide car bombing rocked the highly congested center of Chandni Chowk and the 17th century Red Fort station of India’s capital city of Delhi. The suicide car bombing left just over 20 people killed and another seven severely wounded. The scene was described as “blood being everywhere”, “bodies being scattered” and “nearby cars on fire and melting” due to the intensity of the blast. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated to the Indian Press that Indian authorities will “get to the bottom of this conspiracy", “The conspirators won’t be spared and all those responsible will be brought to justice”, and that the conspirators “would not be spared”.

Official the investigation into both the perpetrators and why this suicide car bombing took place is still ongoing and both the Indian National Investigation Agency and the Indian federal anti-terrorism body has classified as a terrorist attack. According to witnesses, the vehicle that sparked the bombing was a Hyundai i20 and stopped at a red light. It was also reported that all nearby states adjacent to the bombing site have been placed under alert. The suicide car bombing comes on the heels of the Indian authorities recovering roughly 793 pounds (360kg) of ammonium nitrate, and two small arms in the adjacent Indian state of Haryana, more precisely: Faridabad City. There was also another instance that resulted in small arms and an estimated 63,934lbs (2,9000kg) of explosives found in regions of Kashmir and Jammu.

OUR THOUGHTS AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

We highly suspect that the Indian government and the Pakistani government will blame each other either for the attacks or as to why the attacks occurred. With a century long history of fighting between the two countries and what we are calling a four day “micro war” that broke out between the two countries on the border of Kashmir earlier this year that essential resulted in India losing due to Pakistan’s utilization of Chinese J-10 fighter jets; it can be easily be predicted that there will high levels  of suspicion between India and Pakistan with the unfolding of this new event taking place.

It should also be known that as times change, so does the way terrorism is executed. Long gone are the days when some obviously crazed lunatic sprayed random gunfire into a crowd of people. Today terrorism has evolved into sophisticated networks often with legitimate operatives that have legal businesses which hide their tradecraft and their elaborate plots. Terrorists today are also more advanced than ever before, and in the case of India, they are so advanced that they tend to go undetected until they strike. Our prediction at VEDA World News is that the Indian authorities may have seized a couple of cashes of weapons here and there, but it's safe to say that they may have more than likely failed to seize many other instances like this. The suicide car bombing that took place late yesterday is a testament to this fact.
