[Brazil Trump Tariff] In response to American President Trump’s Reciprocal Tariffs, Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva called for all BRICS member countries to unite to counteract the reciprocal traffic set forth by President Trump. [Palestinian Youth Movement A Day of Rage] Yesterday, an anti-Israel pro Palestine protest entitled “A Day of Rage” was held in Houston, Texas at 12 noon at the Egyptian Consulate located at 5718 Westheimer Rd.  According to the Palestinian Youth Movement who are the organizers of the protest, both the Egyptian and Jordanian governments have arrested and detained hundreds of people for showing solidarity with Palestine.

[France recognize Palestinian statehood] Considering the current genocide on Palestinians, France has declared it will recognize Palestine as a state starting in September. French President Emmanuel Macron stated to the Press that the formal announcement to recognize Palestinian statehood will take place at the United Nations assembly in New York.

[Greg Abbot congressional remapping] Yesterday at the M.C. Daniel  Community Outreach Center located in Houston Texas, Texas Representative Jolanda Jones of district 147, held what she called an “Emergency Redistricting Town Hall Meeting”.

[Israel Knesset vote] Today the Israeli Knesset passed a vote that would allow the Israeli government to claim sovereignty over the Palestinians West Bank and the Jordan Valley. The vote was passed by 30-6. Immediately after the passing of the vote both the sultanate of  Oman and Saudi Arabia expressed not only their concerns over the passing of the vote by the Knesset, but both countries outright condemned the passing of the vote.

[India Russia oil] It seems that the country that has seemed to play both sides has taken a strong stance against threats of sanctions from the United Kingdom and America because of India’s purchasing of Russian oil.

[Israel Gaza] In Gaza more than 1,000 Gazans have been killed by Israel at humanitarian and food distribution sites. Within the last two days, an estimated 12 children and 33 people have died due to starvation in Gaza. Additionally, roughly well over 240,000 women and children in Gaza are experiencing severe malnutrition with 93% of Gazans facing food insecurity.

[Ukraine Russia Istanbul peace talks] Today a third round of peace talks are set to occur between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, Türkiye. While Volodymyr Zelensky appears to be optimistic about the possibility of a breakthrough in terms of reaching an agreement with Russia, Russia seems to be skeptical that any kind of successful peace deal will come about from this round of peace talks.
